Garden Day is this Thursday, July 18th at 10-11AM!

Come help us garden this Thursday, July 18th anytime between 10 and 11AM! We'll be harvesting, pulling weeds, watering, and looking around for cool bugs to identify! Kids 2 and up are welcome to come (little ones, please bring your grown-up with you - older kids can attend independently) anytime during the hour to help us out in the garden.
Please be sure to wear lots of sunscreen and a hat as well as your best gardening clothes-since we're watering and pulling weeds, it may get a little muddy! See you on Thursday!

The morning glories grew back from last year

 Our radish harvest

Nicholas made an awesome mobile, too!

Fisher helped us pull some weeds

Hannah, Isaac, and Kaylee working on their mobiles!

Olivia working hard on her garden mobile

 Hannah's finished garden art!

Fisher and Ashley digging in the dirt!

June 27th Garden Day - This Week!

We hope the weather gets better over the next few days and that we are able to have our Garden Day. For now, it is NOT canceled, but we'll keep you updated. If we don't have to cancel, we'll be pulling weeds, harvesting radishes, planting more beans, exploring the growing garden and having fun!
Remember to wear sunscreen and a hat (as it's supposed to be quite warm) and dress to get dirty! We'll also be doing a garden-related craft!

Everything in the garden has grown a lot in the past two months, so there's plenty to explore and discover! Hope to see you on Thursday morning from 10AM - 11AM!

First Cultivating Kids Garden Day or 2013!

Our first Cultivating Kids Garden Day was a success! We planted mammoth sunflower seeds in  easy-to-make newspaper pots. Kids put together two newspaper pots with sunflower seeds in them - one for our garden at the library and one of their own to bring home.

Bennett filling up his newspaper pot with soil.

 Devon planting some seeds!

Max, William, Zachariah, and Gideon working on their seedlings!

Next time, we will hopefully be able to be outside in the nice weather as our next Garden Day is Saturday, May 25th! Join us from 10-11 for planting outside and other gardening fun! Let us know if you have any questions - you can always give us a call at 335-7549!
