Carrot Legs!

We found carrot legs in the garden on Saturday! Have you ever found something like this in your garden?
The Children's Room would like to thank everyone for a great spring and summer of gardening! We will see you next spring to prepare for our garden of 2014!

Garden Day, August 8th!

This morning we had another garden day and though it looked like rain, we stayed dry! Today we picked weeds, harvested purple beans and cherry tomatoes, explored the garden, and painted garden gnomes! We'll see you next time on Thursday, August 22nd!

June 27th Garden Day - This Week!

We hope the weather gets better over the next few days and that we are able to have our Garden Day. For now, it is NOT canceled, but we'll keep you updated. If we don't have to cancel, we'll be pulling weeds, harvesting radishes, planting more beans, exploring the growing garden and having fun!
Remember to wear sunscreen and a hat (as it's supposed to be quite warm) and dress to get dirty! We'll also be doing a garden-related craft!

Everything in the garden has grown a lot in the past two months, so there's plenty to explore and discover! Hope to see you on Thursday morning from 10AM - 11AM!

June 8th - A Surprisingly Sunny Garden Day!

Our first outdoor Cultivating Kids Garden Day was great - despite the weather report, it was sunny and warm. Our garden is looking great!
Claire helped us pull a lot of weeds this morning.

Our zucchini plants are growing well next to some marigolds.

Our potato plants are growing bigger and bigger!

We spotted a bean sprouting up!
